VISION
The aim of Elite is to develop young male and female dancers and train them to the level that would be required in various established Ballet/Dance Companies, both in South Africa and Internationally. Together with the Ballet and Dance training the Primary School students will receive Academic Tuition of a very high standard.
MISSION
Elite is a High Performance Ballet School which includes Academics as part of its overall training for the young and up-coming Professionals. We make use of our exclusive Elite Methodology, which no other school teaches, together with the RAD Method and Modern/Contemporary Dance. Our Students are trained by Professionals to one day enter the professional dance world with the required training and hours needed for this intensive Career. We strive to provide South Africa with the most well trained and talented dancers who will be an asset to any Ballet or Contemporary Company one day. Our mission includes aiming to reach the underprivileged students, as well as those who are able to afford such a high level education and dance opportunity. While Elite is a High Performance Training Centre, equal emphasis is placed on academic development as it is on vocational training. This is for the protection of the student. Should a student choose not to pursue a career in dance for any reason, it is essential to protect their options to study further. At Elite, students may participate in the academic or dance training separately if they choose. A student may also enroll in our dance classes and continue with their own schooling of choice. We have students who are private, government and home schooled. The high school academics through Elite follow the IEB standard.
Our Elite Foundation exists to aid in the development of our organisation and help the underprivileged talent of South Africa to achieve their dreams.

When one boils it all down, the pursuit of excellence is the essence of sport, of education, of debate, of government, and of the arts. But what is excellence?
Aristotle, the great stoic philosopher and genius said that “Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”
BALLET METHODOLOGY
Elite Training Methodology
Elite is a Ballet School for students who want a career in Dance. It is a unique school, the only one in the world that provides students with a chance to study the Elite Methodology. This Methodology is designed to produce a professional dancer who knows exactly how their body works and understands the demands and requirements needed to achieve their career goals. When a child has a talent for dance, that talent needs to be respected and trained with great care, guiding the mind and the body of that dancer daily in all the components of dance which are required for a future career.
Our Methodology has been developed by KEN YEATMAN, KAREN BEUKES, who were both professional ballet dancers and teachers. In South Africa, the need for a professional ballet school is vital for the continuation of Ballet in this country. Elite is the only school in Africa that can compare to the Ballet Schools abroad in its training, for example the Royal Ballet School in London and the Bolshoi Ballet School in Russia. These Schools, like Elite, train their dancers from the age of 8 to a professional level, where the student can have a successful career in Dance.

Elite offers regular opportunities to its dancers including our yearly special theatre performance displaying classical ballet, modern & contemporary works. We also engage in competitions, fundraisers, and community events.
